ALL WELCOME

The MAC is the first ever purpose built community centre in Monifieth. Hard to believe but true, despite our population of over 8000.

Our residents of all ages miss out on classes and services that are available in other towns in Angus, and lots of people spend a lot of time travelling to nearby facilities. A waste of time and at a cost to individuals and to the planet. But now we have what we need on our doorstep.

The MAC is run as a social enterprise. All profits are ploughed back into the centre. No shareholders getting a cut. And employees will be paid at industry standard rates or above. Visiting the Library can now become much more of a social event. Collect your book and relax with a cuppae.

There will be welfare and health support sessions taking us from pregnancy to breastfeeding to diet advice for seniors. A Fitness Suite, spaces for groups and activities, and a large hall for sports and community events such as ceilidhs, weddings etc. And a café that overlooks the river.
